Military Grade Underwear: Campbellsville Apparel
Since 2002, Campbellsville Apparel supplied vast quantities of undershirts and briefs to the US Military. Made in Kentucky using “100% American components,” these Made in USA underwear “comply with all U.S. military quality requirements” (per the original website).

In late 2019, the Campbellsville Apparel website went offline. Sadly, Buying American Blog has not been able to make contact with the company via phone or email.
You may be able to find men’s underwear (although not necessarily briefs) from the following retailers:
- All American Clothing Company (Socks & Underwear)
- Army Navy Sales (Underwear)
- Coleman’s Military Surplus (Underwear)
- Made in America Store (Underwear)
- Made Here (Men’s Underwear)
Campbellsville Apparel Underwear (Pre-2020)
Campbellsville’s four (4) choices of underwear come in a limited range of “colors.”
- 100% Moisture Wicking Polyester T-Shirt – Sand
- V-Neck Tshirt – White (with a tear-off label)
- 100% Combed Cotton Undershirts – White or Sand
- 100% Cotton Briefs – White or Tan (with an iron-on label)
If you’re worried about the fashion statement these undergarments may (or may not) make, you’re not the target market . . . For the rest of you, Campbellsville Apparel Company covers the US military’s backsides. Why not let it cover yours as well?
Now that you have your base layer covered, why not head over to the Made in USA List‘s Clothing or Socks category to get dressed for the day?
Side Note
I’m guessing these briefs might pass the Gunny Approved test. Speaking of which, did you know R. Lee Ermey wrote a book? Rest in Peace, Gunny—1944–2018.

Made in America Week, July 2017
On July 17, 2017, the White House invited different companies to showcase Made in USA products. And, Campbellsville Apparel represented the great state of Kentucky! What an honor… For more American-made goods, check out the Made in USA List.
broken link or web page. I can’t access the campbellsville apparel company web page to make purchase. Getting errror 403
Thanks for reporting this, Arthur! I’ve been leaving messages, but perhaps more attention will lead to a better result? Campbellsville Apparel’s phone number is (270) 465-0714. The plant is open Monday through Thursday 6am to 4:30pm EST.
Made in America but can’t buy in a America. Website want let Americans buy. Do you sell to the public? Retired Military Veteran.
Hi Kevin! I’m really annoyed at Campbellsville right now as well. I just left them another voicemail. For now, I think you can order them through All American Clothing Co.: https://www.allamericanclothing.com/made-in-usa/TWCB.html .
Are you sure this company is still in business? Their website is down, and every single vendor of Campbellsville Apparel (such as All American Clothing Company) is out of stock!
What has happened to Campbellsville Apparell Co? Vendors are not restocking (All American Clothing) they don’t have an answer either. I buy made in USA. Please forward to them. I have been trying since 2019.
Thank You,
Tim Oakley
Yeah. Radio silence on email and phone as well. 🙁 I honestly don’t have any idea! I’ve started using other American-made manufacturers, but it’s sad Campbellsville has ghosted us.
want to purchase some items! DO NOT KNOW HOW!!! CANNOT REACH SITE!!
Sorry, Gerald! Sadly, I think Campbellsville Apparel no longer sells through retail channels (or direct). The website went offline pre-pandemic, and I’ve been unable to get in contact with anyone at the plant. I have been able to find the tan/brown colors via military surplus sites like this one: https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/us-military-surplus-briefs-3-pack-new?a=2243098 . Maybe that’s the only way to buy them now?
Hi, do you have any suggestions of where to purchase American made polyester/spandex material? I am particularly looking for a Tan 499 color. Thanks
Hi JRose! Wow, this is a really tricky one! I’m not sure, but I would probably start asking your favorite fabric stores if they know American textile makers. I know you can find such fabric in large quantities, but the trick will be to get it in smaller quantities. Let us know if you have any luck!
