Made in USA American Flags
If you’re going to look for the Made in USA label on one item, it has to be the American flag! Here are four companies that still make flags in the United States of America.
Note: This post originally appeared as 4 Made in USA Flags for July 4th.
Made in USA American Flags
- American Flag & Pole Co. — All American Flag & Pole Co. flags are hand sewn and 100% Made in the USA. American Flag & Pole Co. crafts state flags, custom/corporate brand flags, and international flags in Phoenix, Arizona.
- Annin Flagmakers — Founded in 1847 by brothers Benjamin and Edward Annin, Annin claims to be the “oldest and largest flag manufacturer” in the United States. Annin offers a truly huge variety of flags, ranging from US to state to custom to massive (15 X 25 ft. and larger U.S. flags).
Watch the video to see how Annin Flagmakers makes its flags in the USA:
- Atlas Flags, Inc. — When Atlas Flag Corporation of America, founded in Chicago in 1938, initially made flags, there were only 48 stars. Since then, the United States has added a couple of states, and Atlas Flag moved to Georgia after 2014. Atlas Flags makes American, US state, international, and custom flags, as well as stick flags.
- RePatriot Flag — Not only are RePatriot Flag American flags 100% Made in USA, but they’re also made completely from recycled materials. A veteran owned business, RePatriot Flag offers four sizes of eco-friendly American flags.
Fun Fact: American Flora also uses Repreve® fabric for their Made in USA clothing line!
- Valley Forge Flag Company — Founded in 1882, Valley Forge Flag Company, Inc. originally made burlap bags before then selling World War I surplus, including U.S. flags. Through four generations, this company has evolved to become a “100% Made in the U.S.A.” flag manufacturer.
More Made in USA for Every Day
Surely you wouldn’t wear any clothing labeled “Made in _____” with an American flag on it, right? Shop the Made in USA List for American-made patriotic shirts from various vendors, such as All American Clothing!
If you’re shopping for home decor instead, check out Flags of Valor’s wooden flags. Each purchase at veteran-owned Flags of Valor helps employ the service-disabled. Made in USA by American combat veterans, flags range from small (16″ x 32″) to extra-large (33″ x 63″).
This list could be a lot longer
