Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company in St. Louis

I visited the Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company in St. Louis recently—an American chocolate factory. From a single store in 1981, the family business now boasts six retail locations. The 30,000 sq. ft. chocolate factory, opened in 2012, was purpose-built to allow factory tours. And, in 2014, the company began sourcing 100% Fair Trade Certified cocoa and cane sugar. While ingredients may be sourced from around the world, the chocolate-craft occurs right here in St. Louis!

The St. Louis factory (and store) is located at 5025 Pattison Avenue, north and west of the I-44 and Kingshighway. Look for the big sign, which faces the freeway.

Once inside the store, I quickly located the door to the factory floor and took a peek through the small window. On Black Friday 2017, only a few workers were working the factory floor. But that was OK, because my visit was all (chocolate-buying) business!

Shopping for Chocolates

In the store, there were plenty of goodies, so it took a while to select my gifts. The gold-wrapped Artisan Truffles caught my eye.

I enjoyed checking out the Chocolate Library. Sadly, there didn’t seem to be any chocolate mystery novels, so I moved on . . . I may have to reconsider the Dark Chocolate Blood Orange Caramel bar for Halloween.

The Santa Ornaments, White Chocolate Christmas Tree Pretzels, and Egg Nog Artisan Truffles called my name next.

A few Santa’s helpers served customers with chocolate-covered specialty delectables from the display case. My visit came to an end with a trip to the nearby cash register. Much to my surprise, a few extra treat bags were added to my haul, presumably part of a Black Friday deal!

All in all, a highly successful Christmas chocolate shopping trip indeed. I highly recommend a visit if you’re a fan of all things chocolate, chocolate, and, oh yes, chocolate!
